Week 29: Carton

We were getting the house ready for sale so I’m really late with this, and then my mother-in-law died the day I was getting ready to do this. Total exhaustion.

However, today we brought the card table outside in the shade and enjoyed breakfast and lunch and several cups of tea. Then I hung my laundry out to dry and while the spouse was trimming and mowing part of the lawn, I did this while sitting under a shade tree with the dogs.

What could be a better ambience for drawing?

The carton of rice milk had a lot of details in it so I edited it down for clarity. No fancy shading as I’m so far behind, but I did enjoy trying to get the essence of this.

How refreshing, doesn’t it make you long for some cold rice milk?

Sure it does.

Materials I used:

Staedtler 2H pencil
Lamy Safari pen with medium nib and Noodler’s Blue Upon the Plains of Abraham ink.

The “splash” on the carton looks terrific. You did wonderful with this, considering all you have going on right now.

    • Thanks Rose, I just got your Carton. So sorry to hear the laptop seems to be compromised, I hope a tablet works better for you.

I know how you like the Internet, I do too. I’m more focused with it than i need to be but without it you can’t look stuff up!
