Week 28: Bell

This is a cloche hat, and “cloche” means “bell” in French. I love this kind of hat because it reminds me of hats my Mom wore when she was a girl.

This is very sketchy and on a half-page as we had little time this week. We’ve been pushing the furniture into rooms so we could sand, stain and urethane floors. I left some of my art materials out so I could access them but then couldn’t access them for half-dry floors!

Materials I used:

Staedtler 2H pencil
Van Gogh watercolours
Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils.

Oh that’s lovely – way more impressive than the “sketchy” label you gave it. You deserve a pat on the back for getting it done with all that you’re getting done with you house. The hat reminds me of some I see on the show Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.

Gorgeous hat, very elegant! I love hats, though I don’t wear them much any more. And I’m with Bev – your “sketchy” art is still classy 🙂
